This role exists to:
- Rapidly increase the number of physical locations stocking and selling the brand's hair and scalp care range
- Convert first time outlet visits into starter pack wholesale orders
- Build enough product presence and sell through momentum that outlets reorder independently
- Take over from the founder from being the only person in the field driving new account acquisition
- Create a replicable, documented approach to wholesale onboarding that the company can scale
RESPONSIBILITIES BY PILLAR
PILLAR 1: Territory Prospecting & Route Planning
- Map out all target outlet types in the assigned territory: salons, beauty supply stores, pharmacies, spas, barbing lounges, cosmetic retailers, local mini distributors
- Build and maintain a live territory list (Google Sheet or CRM) of all identified outlets with address, contact name, visit status, and outcome
- Plan efficient daily routes to maximise outlet visits per day without burning unnecessary transport cost
- Identify cluster zones i.e streets, markets, or estates with high outlet density and prioritise penetration of these areas first
- Continuously scout new outlets through local knowledge, referrals, and physical observation
PILLAR 2: Face to Face Selling & Starter Pack Conversion
- Walk in, introduce the brand, and give a sharp, confident product pitch tailored to the outlet type (what a salon owner needs to hear is different from what a pharmacist needs to hear)
- Demonstrate key products physically scalp condition, texture, scent, usage not just describe them
- Handle price objections, minimum order concerns, and "I'll think about it" responses with practiced, confident responses
- Close starter pack wholesale orders on the first or second visit wherever possible
- Leave behind product samples, brand materials, or a price list after every visit even if they don't buy today
- Lock in Key Person Contact details
- Follow up every non converting visit within 5–7 days with a phone call or return visit where necessary
PILLAR 3: Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Report daily on outlets visited, outcome (converted / follow up / rejected), and key objections encountered
- Track competitor pricing, promotional activity, and product placement at outlet level
