We have an good opportunity of Tax Manager - Africa for our Automotive Client based in Lagos, Nigeria.Job title: Tax Manager - AfricaLocation: Lagos, NigeriaReport to: Africa CFOThe role involves managing all matters related to direct and indirect taxation across operations in 15 African countries.Key Responsibilities:Assessing all transactions that include direct & indirect taxes Reviewing the transactions & structure of contracts from taxation point of view.Supporting all the businesses in transactions from taxation perspective.Determining tax liabilities and advising on taxes Structuring of the contracts and transactions from the point of view of taxation.Calculation of advance taxesMonitoring of timely filing of VAT & WHT returns/revised returns Responsible for timely filing of the returns.Documentation of the data of transactions from all other departments & timely representing to the department.Auditing on annual basis & preparing tax audit report.Compiling the data for income tax assessments and preparation of replies in response to notices received from Income Tax officeEffective representations before the income tax authorities for assessment & appeal matters.Assessing the cases and representing in the tax office.Handling of any departmental query pertaining to taxes Issuing and collecting foreign payment forms.Tracking and monthly publishing of MIS Managing & informing about tax litigations.
