Job description Our client, a major player in infrastructure development with a significant presence in Lokoja, Kogi, NG, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee critical capital projects. This is a site-based role, requiring your full-time commitment to the project location.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of large-scale infrastructure projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Your duties will include developing detailed project plans, defining project scope, managing budgets and timelines, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will lead and motivate project teams, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Risk assessment and mitigation, quality assurance, and compliance with safety regulations are paramount.

The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, public utilities). Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) and project management software is required.

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a must. A Master's degree and professional certifications like PMP are highly desirable. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing infrastructure projects, is required.

Experience working in the specific geographic region and understanding local challenges and opportunities is a significant advantage. You must be adept at stakeholder management and possess a strong understanding of procurement processes and contract administration.

This challenging role requires a results-oriented individual who can drive project success in a demanding environment. Join us to build the future of infrastructure.
