Company OverviewFlying Ingot Foundry is a growing industrial metals company operating a lead smelting foundry in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. With two 4 - tonne rotating furnaces currently in operation and further expansion planned, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities, drive operational efficiency, and support the company’s ongoing growth.Role SummaryThe Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day - to - day activities of the foundry, ensuring safe, efficient, and high - quality production. This role focuses on operational execution—overseeing production teams, coordinating workflows, managing equipment utilisation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Operations Manager will work closely with senior leadership to implement operational improvements and support capacity expansion initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily foundry operations, including melting, molding, casting and finishing, to ensure production targets are metCoordinate production planning, resource allocation, raw material usage, and inventory control to maintain continuous operationsEnforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operational activities.Supervise and support production teams, ensuring employees receive proper training and adhere to operational proceduresOversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and maintain equipment reliabilityMonitor product quality and implement corrective actions to address defects or process deviationsTrack operational performance, production metrics, and material consumption, providing regular reports to managementAssist in implementing operational improvements, technology upgrades, and expansion projects within the foundryReport directly to Senior ManagementRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgy, Industrial, or related field)Minimum of 5 years’ experience in foundry, metal processing, or heavy industrial operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or operations management roleStrong technical understanding of foundry processes, production workflow, and industrial equipment.Solid knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory requirements in NigeriaStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to manage production teams effectivelyProven ability to solve operational problems and deliver production targets in a fast - paced industrial environmentWhat We Offer:Competitive salary package with performance incentivesOpportunity to manage core operational activities in a growing industrial businessInvolvement in expansion and improvement projects with room for professional development
