We are seeking a detailed orientated and proactive Accountant to support financial reporting, treasury operations and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and providing insights to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Support treasury operations, including bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls.
- Participate in audits, regulatory filings, and tax compliance.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Manage daily bank reconciliations and contribute to accurate cash flow forecasting.
- Support execution and monitoring of FX transactions; prepare FX variance reports.
- Track debt portfolio including repayments, disbursements, and covenant compliance.
- Prepare and review treasury-related payments, ensuring compliance with approval protocols.
- Contribute to enterprise risk assessments and maintain an updated risk register.
- Assist in developing and monitoring internal controls within finance and treasury.
- Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and banks for compliance inspections and submissions.
- Generate periodic treasury, risk, and compliance reports for management review.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports for: Treasury (liquidity, FX exposures, risk incidents, compliance metrics). Sales team (sales performance, receivables aging, customer trends).
- Develop analytics reports that provide actionable insights for both finance and business operations.
- Partner with operations, sales, and production teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
- Participate in process improvement and ERP/automation initiatives.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3–4 years relevant accounting/finance experience (manufacturing or FMCG preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP software
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and dashboard tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- ACA/ACCA or in-progress certification is an added advantage.
