Our operations focus on commercial - scale farming, leveraging scalable operations, sustainable practices, and cutting - edge digital technologies to drive productivity and food security on the continent.Job Summary:The Assistant Farm Manager will support the Farm Manager in overseeing daily farm operations, ensuring optimal productivity, compliance with agricultural standards, and efficient use of resources. This role requires strong leadership, hands - on agricultural knowledge, and the ability to implement modern farming techniques and technologies.Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all farming operations including planting, harvesting, irrigation, pest control, and storage. - Ensure all farming equipment is well - maintained and used efficiently. - Support the implementation of digital and sustainable agricultural practices. - Supervise farm workers and ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed. - Maintain accurate farm records, including input usage, yields, and labor. - Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for timely procurement and distribution. - Monitor farm budgets and ensure cost - effective practices. - Provide regular reports to the Farm Manager on performance, challenges, and opportunities. - Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Science, or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in farm operations, preferably in a commercial or large - scale setting. - Strong understanding of modern agricultural practices, machinery, and digital farming tools. - Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate labor activities. - Good organizational, leadership, and communication skills. - Familiarity with sustainable farming and climate - smart practices is an advantage.Interested and Qualified Candidates should send CV to thefutureedgelimited@gmail.com indicating the subject.
